Photo Yearbook

Photo books are the perfect gift for any occasion.
Here's a Shutterfly photo yearbook from last year.  I'm over a year behind, but better late than never...right?

Almost TWO!

As I made my mind up to discontinue my blogging, I took a look back at some of my early posts. It made me recall things bout raising twinfants that I had COMPLETELY forgotten! The sleeplessness, the anxiety, the pure bliss of holding precious babies, things that were once so fresh in my mind, yet now are memories faded enough to induce memory loss.
I decided though I am not a particularly great writer, I still like the memories from the blog nonetheless. I guess it'll be a way of journaling for me and something with more detail than my yearbook of pictures I create every year using Shutterfly.
The boys are one month away from turning two years old! This year has been so fun and challenging. We are definitely wading into the murky pools of the terrible twos (times two, wahoo!) ;-O
When crazy things happen...like one of my boys poops on the floor and plays with it while the other one steps in it, or when our neighbors drain their doughboy pool into our backyard and we are left with a muddy mess that both my boys dive into, or when I hear both crying and laughing coming out of their room at naptime and then discover that Jojo is crying because Benny has climbed into his crib and Benny is laughing because he has climbed into Jojos bed, I have to remind myself (with a deep breath),..."no one is hurt," "this too shall pass," and the hardest,..."let's have FUN with this situation!" Okay, not the poop incident, but it did make for a good story (a few days later).
Here's just a few pics of some of the things we've been up to this summer.
We've had the blessing of being able to spend a lot of time with the boys great-grandpa Joe before he went to be with The Lord a few weeks ago.
The day after he passed, we went over to his and Barb's house for a lunch. The boys immediately walked into the room grandpa Joe had been staying and they looked all over with concerned expressions and with their hands in the air they asked, "Appa Joe?"  Then the y looked under the bed and asked the same thing. So sad, yet so precious.
Though it has been hard to say goodbye, as selfishly we all just want more time, hugs, stories, vacations, etc with him, it is a comfort knowing he is no longer in pain and we DO get to see him again.
Sometimes I wish we all didn't have to wait so long to see those we've lost and miss so dearly.
In the meantime, I'm going to do my best, with The Lord's help, to live a life full of love, laughter, faith, family and friends.
